CENTRAL
BASTROP: Water clear; 62-66 degrees. Black bass are good on green pumpkin soft plastics, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows over brush piles. Channel and blue catfish are good on liver, shrimp, and minnows. Yellow catfish are slow.
BELTON: Water clear; 60-64 degrees; 6.86? low. Black bass are good on perch colored Rat-L-Traps and crankbaits. Hybrid striper are fair on silver striper jigs. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and blue tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on nightcrawlers and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.
BROWNWOOD: Water clear; 58-62 degrees; 10.54? low. Black bass are fair on Brownwood craw jigs, watermelon spinnerbaits, craw colored crankbaits, and chrome/blue Rat-L-Traps along the shorelines. Hybrid striper are fair on chartreuse striper jigs. White bass are good on Li?l Fishies, Rat-L-Traps, and shad crankbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows and white tube jigs over brush piles. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.
BUCHANAN: Water lightly stained; 60-64 degrees; 27.94? low. Black bass are fair on pumpkin Curb?s jigs, jerkbaits, and Carolina rigged JDC lizards along break lines in 10-20 feet. Striped bass are good drifting live bait in 20-30 feet. White bass are fair on Pirk Minnows, slabs, and crankbaits in creeks. Crappie are good on minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.
CANYON LAKE: Water lightly stained; 60-64 degrees; 8.94? low. Black bass are fair on black/chartreuse Curb?s hair jigs, jerkbaits, and Texas rigged Scoundrel worms on shaky jigheads in 20-30 feet. Striped bass are good trolling white Curb?s striper jigs and vertically jigging Pirk Minnows. White bass are fair jigging Pirk Minnows and Blade Baits. Crappie are good on minnows and crappie jigs upriver. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.
COLEMAN: Water lightly stained; 59-63 degrees; 13.64? low. Black bass are good on chartreuse Rat-L-Traps, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits. Hybrid striper are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Channel catfish are good on liver, shrimp, and cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow.

FAYETTE: Water stained. Black bass are good on watermelon red and redbug Carolina rigged soft plastics spinnerbaits and Rat-L-Traps off deep points. Channel and blue catfish are fair on shrimp, nightcrawlers, and stinkbait.

Striped bass to 4 pounds are fair on white spoons in 20-35 feet. White bass are fair on white spoons and chrome crankbaits in 20-35 feet. Crappie are fair on minnows and pink tube jigs. WALTER E. LONG: Water lightly stained. Black bass are fair on minnows and green pumpkin soft plastics. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are very good on Charlie slabs. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on shrimp and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.
WHITNEY: Water lightly stained; 58-62 degrees; 8.52? low. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are fair on live bait and white striper jigs. White bass are fair on Pirk Minnows and slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows over brush piles in 20-25 feet. Catfish are slow.
NORTHEAST
ATHENS: Water clear, 53-57 degrees; 2.63? low. Black bass are good on shallow crankbaits and spinnerbaits fished around any cover. Crappie are fair on jigs. Catfish are fair on cut shad.
BOB SANDLIN: Water clear; 53-58 degrees; 4.81? low. Black bass are fair on bladed jigs and squarebill crankbaits. Crappie are good on jigs. White bass are fair on slabs. Catfish are slow on trotlines.
BRIDGEPORT: Water clear; 52-56 degrees; 15.01? low. Black bass are good on medium crankbaits around main lake points. Crappie are good on minnows. White bass are fair on slabs. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs. Channel catfish are slow on trotlines.

FAIRFIELD: Fishing has been slow since the fish kill in September of 2010. TPWD has discontinued stocking the lake after another kill in early September 2011. Redfish and black bass survived the kill in limited numbers.
FORK: Water clear; 54-58 degrees; 4.15? low. Black bass are good on squarebill crankbaits around main lake points. Yellow bass are fair on jigs. Crappie are good on minnows around the bridges. Catfish are fair on prepared bait.
GRAPEVINE: Water clear; 52-56 degrees; 6.00? low. Black bass are good on shallow crankbaits around larger rocks up shallow. Crappie are good on jigs. White bass are good on slabs. Catfish are fair on cut shad.
JOE POOL: Water clear; 52-57 degrees; 1.91? low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged soft plastics in 5-10 feet of water. Green pumpkin has been best. Crappie are fair on jigs. White bass are fair on slabs and jigs. Catfish are fair on prepared baits.
LAKE O? THE PINES: Water lightly stained; 54-59 degrees; 2.80? low. Black bass are good on lipless crankbaits around shallow cover. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are good on trotlines. MONTICELLO: Water fairly clear; 52-57 degrees; 0.68? high. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged soft plastics and black and blue jigs around stumps ? squarebill crankbaits working in the same areas. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on cut bait.
PALESTINE: Water clear; 52-58 degrees; 0.47? low. Black bass are good on black/blue jigs and shaky heads around docks ? smaller baits working best. Crappie are good on minnows. Hybrid striper are slow on slabs. White bass are fair on jigs. Catfish are good on prepared bait.
RAY HUBBARD: Water clear; 52-57 degrees; 3.20? low. Black bass are good on Texas rigged plastics and flipping jigs around shallow cover. Crappie are good on minnows. White bass are excellent on 1oz. slabs. Hybrid bass are good on slabs as well. Catfish are fair on cut shad.

White bass are good on slabs, small crankbaits, and minnows. Crappie are fair on live minnows up Devil?s River. Catfish are fair on cheesebait, shrimp, and nightcrawlers over baited holes. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live perch. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.
BRAUNIG: Water clear. Black bass are good on crankbaits and dark soft plastic worms in the reeds and near the dam. Striped bass are good on liver and shad near the pier. Redfish are slow. Channel catfish are excellent on shrimp, nightcrawlers, and cut bait near the dam. Blue catfish are good on cut bait in 15-20 feet.
CALAVERAS: Water clear. Black bass are good on dark soft plastic worms, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits in reed beds. Striped bass are good on chartreuse spoons and jigs near the crappie wall. Redfish are slow. Channel and blue catfish are very good on liver, shrimp, and bloodbait near the railroad trestle. Yellow catfish are slow.
CHOKE CANYON: Water clear; 66-70 degrees; 17.63? low. Black bass are good on chartreuse spinnerbaits and Rat-L-Traps. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are fair on liver and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.
COLETO CREEK: Water clear; 2.64? low. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are fair on silver striper jigs. White bass are fair on Charlie slabs and Li?l Fishies. GIBBONS CREEK: Water clear. Black bass are fair on chartreuse spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are fair on minnows and pink tube jigs. Catfish are fair on frozen shrimp, hot dogs, and stinkbait.
HOUSTON COUNTY: Water stained; 58-62 degrees; 0.17? high. Black bass to 6 pounds are good on silver deep running crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and Rat-L-Traps in coves on the north side of the lake and near the dam. Crappie are fair on minnows and chartreuse tube jigs. Catfish to 2 pounds are good near the marina on stinkbait.
LIVINGSTON: Water fairly clear; 61-65 degrees; 0.31? high. Black bass are good on green pumpkin crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are fair on white striper jigs. COASTAL
NORTH SABINE: Trout and redfish are fair while drifting mud and shell. Sheepshead are fair to good around the rocks.
SOUTH SABINE: Redfish are fair on the edge of the channel on mullet. Sheepshead and black drum are good at the jetty on live shrimp.
BOLIVAR: Trout are fair on the south shoreline on slow-sinking plugs. Black drum and redfish are fair to good at Rollover Pass.
TRINITY BAY: Trout are fair for drifters working deep shell on the upper end of the bay on Bass Assassins, Trout Killers and Sand Eels. Redfish are good at the spillway on crabs and mullet.
EAST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are fair to good on the south shoreline on Corkies and MirrOlures. Whiting and sand trout are good on the edge of the Intracoastal on fresh shrimp.
WEST GALVESTON BAY: Sheepshead, redfish and black drum are good at the jetty on shrimp and crabs. Trout are fair over deep shell in the afternoon on plastics. Oversized black drum are fair to good at the jetty and in channel.
TEXAS CITY: Sheepshead are fair around rock groins on live shrimp. Mangrove snapper and whiting are fair from the piers.
FREEPORT: Sand trout and sheepshead are fair on live shrimp on the reefs. Redfish are fair to good at San Luis pass on cracked blue crabs.
EAST MATAGORDA BAY: Trout are fair for drifters on live shrimp and soft plastics over humps and scattered shell. Redfish are fair to good on the edge of the Intracoastal on crabs and mullet.
WEST MATAGORDA BAY: Redfish are fair to good on the south shoreline in the guts and bayous. Trout are fair on shell and grassy shorelines on soft plastics and live shrimp
PORT O?CONNOR: Trout and redfish are fair on Corkies over soft mud in waist-deep water in San Antonio Bay. Redfish are fair to good at the mouths of drains on soft plastics and live shrimp.
ROCKPORT: Trout are fair on the edge of the ICW on glow DOA Shrimp. Redfish are fair to good on the Estes Flats and in California Hole on mullet and shrimp.
PORT ARANSAS: Redfish are fair to good around Pelican Island on Gulps and mullet. Sand trout are good on shrimp in the channel.
CORPUS CHRISTI: Redfish are good in the Humble Channel on crabs and table shrimp. Trout are fair to good in Oso Bay on Gulps, topwaters and soft plastics.
BAFFIN BAY: Trout are fair to good in mud and grass on Corkies and Catch 2000s. Trout are fair to good in the guts along the King Ranch shoreline on Corkies, Bass Assassins and Gamblers.
PORT MANSFIELD: Redfish are fair to good on DOA Shrimp and Gulps under a popping cork around grass holes. Trout are fair to good on mud along the edge of the ICW on Corkies and MirrOlures.
SOUTH PADRE: Trout and redfish are fair to good on the edge of the Intracoastal on DOA Shrimp and Gulps. Redfish, black drum and mangrove snapper are fair to good in the channel on shrimp.
PORT ISABEL: Redfish are fair to good in Cullen Bay on live shrimp and Gulps. Trout are fair on the edge of the flats on DOA Shrimp and Gulps.
