PEORIA- For some people, waking up for church is hard enough.
It's even more difficult when time springs forward...
"It did feel a little earlier," said nine-year-old Brandon Kemp. Kemp said he needed extra help to wake up this morning.
Kemp is one of the many church goers that attend Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria.
David Strickler is the church facilities manager.
"The clocks that run all the lights and the equipment all does it automatically. So that's a good thing. It's a really good thing," Strickler said.
He sees everyone who walks through the church doors. He says more people than usual were running late Sunday.
"And they said, 'oh is the church started already?' I said, 'oh yea. You're just about to the end," Strickland said recalling an earlier conversation. "And I said, yea. Did you forget your clocks? 'Yes, we did."
11-year-old Ben Learned is an usher at the church. He was worried he'd be late.
"Yea, I hadn't changed my clock. I was like, wow, we are really early to church. Wait, no we're not," he said. ???
?Not everyone forgot to set their clocks. Some, like Pam Kuntz, say there are certain things you just can't control. Kuntz set her clocks correctly, but that didn't matter much for her new born son.
"I have a two month old son, and he was up ready to eat when we aren't ready to be up feeding him yet. So we're also running a little bit behind getting here," she said. ?
Even choir members noticed they were singing to a smaller congregation.
"They're late but they got here. For those churchers that are usually on time, were late," said choir member Ann Meghrian, who says she had her own problems getting up this morning. ?
Staff members at the church say they weren't worried about Sunday. They says it's usually worse when clocks are set back an hour.
Regardless, some say it's okay. They don't think God will hold it against them.?
