Epson America now shipping Android-powered Moverio BT-100 wearable display

Epson Moverio BT-100

Epson America this morning announced that it's now shipping the Android-powered Moverio BT-100 wearable display. Yes. Android-powered grandma glasses. On your melon.

Epson Moverio BT-100I got to take these guys for a spin last fall. They pretty much feel how you'd think they feel -- a bit bulky. Get over that, and having the equivalent of an 80-inch display projected in front of your peepers is a pretty cool, if not entirely practical, idea.

With the glasses and earbuds over and in their respective orifices, you hold in your hand a controller (about the size of an old-school, original iPod) that connects to the glasses via a wire. The top half of the controller is a trackpad, for moving a cursor around the heads-up display. There are the usual Android buttons as well, and a directional-pad if that's how you prefer to navigate the menus. There's also a button to toggle between 2D and 3D modes.

So how'd it work? Look, it's a novelty, to be sure. But it's also one that was a bit surprising. It takes a minute to get used to the idea of video that close to your eyes. But even the 3D video we watched caused less strain than when we've tried it on smartphones. Another cool effect of the glasses is that you can remove the opaque lenses and actually see through the UI. Not that you're going to want to be walking and playing anytime soon, but the idea is that you lose some of the claustrophobia. The world is still the world.

The user interface we saw back in October was very much in prototype mode, so it was a bit janky, a mix of stock Android and something custom. But it also was very familiar and easy to find our way around.

Do you want one of these? It's certainly a fun idea, but you're going to need to have some cash burning a hole in your pocket, as it's going for a suggested retail price of $699. But think of the possibilities. Temple Run. At 80 inches. Angry Birds IN YOUR FACE. Or, you know, (warning: Shameless plug ahead) the all new Android Central Forums app.

We've got more pics and video after the break.

Modest Business and also the Health and Security Strategy

Little Organization as well as the Health and Safety Program

Compact companies that have a voluntary health and security system in spot have 50 % much less mishaps and documented insurance statements than that of their counterparts based on OHSA stats. Most compact firms drop beneath the legal specifications for having a formal wellness and security program in spot on account of quantity of employees on workers. Sixty eight % of noted mishaps are in the services business which shows even organizations just like retail establishments will not be free of mishaps.

Environment a well being and security system in location will reduce costs. Having a program will lessen mishaps and can lead to reduced organization worker?s comp rates; additional business insurance companies prefer their buyers to get well being and safety programs. These insurance companies might even price cut the high quality if a system could be proved to exist. The common price of an incident is $68,000. Direct costs in mishaps for example worker?s comp and fines levied can near an organization. Indirect costs such as lower morale of workers, legal charges, and retraining may be as pricey if not more.

A working system will:
1) Boost employee morale ? Exhibits treatment in their properly being
2) Lower income loses ? Less accidents keeps all personnel at function
3) Give a boost for the customer ? Tends to make positive organization is functioning optimally

A wellness and safety plan might be began by creating a wellness and safety coverage; this is just values that a provider needs to convey in its perform processes. Secondly, is how communication between all workers and owners will perform. And finally, put techniques in place to make sure secure techniques.

To find unseen dangers and unsafe procedures, an audit requirements to just take place. Choose a tough look at the office and record all elements that may possibly result in injury. These dangers might be risky chemical substances or as very simple as being a letter opener. Identifying these hazards will lead to procedures to controlling them. Controls including ?Don?t run with scissors inside your hands? are efficient. Publish all processes inside a guide.

Utilizing these wellness and security techniques will probably be completed with behavioral modify. Some plans come to be weak and non efficient because of:
1) No definition of security techniques ? No created processes
2) No teamwork ? Security is communication from your top to bottom and vice versa. A properly created strategy will illustrate what roles every person performs in safety policies.
3) No successful goals ? The ?accident totally free days? poster will come consequently of audio security processes.
4) Wrong incentives ? Income as a reward does not work properly. Well being and security should really be enjoyable and really worth personnel work. The correct incentive program may be cost powerful and also have obtainable targets. Incentive plans can include things like movie passes or merely ?free espresso around the boss.? The insurance coverage market studies to get a dollar put in on wellness and safety yields four to six pounds in savings.

As soon as all the challenging operate of developing and employing the well being and safety program is accomplished, put aside some time every month to critique the office. Document what exactly is identified; this can be a very good follow to see unsafe developments that could possibly take place for instance a fireplace exit constantly becoming blocked. On the quarters of the calendar year publish a meeting with employees. These conferences are a terrific solution to get vital feed-back from personnel and preserve them concerned. At the very least once a year, do an audit to make sure your health and safety system is present with existing business functions.

A wellness and security system is about as thrilling as putting on a new roof and it?s as crucial for your organization. Expertise of risks in the workplace and the way to manage them will maintain everyone safe. For help in getting began, drop us an e-mail at abbsafetynet@gmail.

Buzz Kill: Self-Dissolving Tinnitus Treatment Gives New Hope

Extreme Tech | Technology

The Pentagon searches for technology to treat tinnitus, characterized by a persistent ringing in the ears, and suffered by one in 10 U.S. adults, and 40 percent of all veterans

cochlea, tinnitus, ring, ear, hearHEAR THAT?: Draper Laboratory in Cambridge, Mass., is fleshing out a concept for a small delivery device that can provide relief to tinnitus sufferers. The device would be inserted near the membrane-covered window separating the middle ear from the inner ear and release medication into the cochlea. Image: Courtesy of Draper Laboratory

Loud, concussive explosions on the battlefield may last only a few seconds, but many soldiers returning from combat in the Middle East are experiencing lingering symptoms that cause them to perceive sounds even when it is quiet. Doctors can do little to treat the problem?typically described as a ringing in the ears?because they lack an effective way of delivering medication to the inner ear. That could change in a few years, in the form of an implantable polymer-based microscale drug-release system that delivers medicine to the inner ear.

Called tinnitus, the condition afflicts at least one in every 10 American adults and is the most common disability among Afghanistan and Iraq war veterans, according to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Up to 40 percent of all veterans may be suffering from tinnitus, and the VA spends about $1 billion annually on disability payments for tinnitus, according to a study published last year in Nature. (Scientific American is part of Nature Publishing Group.)

To address the problem, the U.S. Department of Defense has commissioned Draper Laboratory in Cambridge, Mass., to spend the next year fleshing out a concept for a small delivery device inserted near the membrane-covered window?no more than three millimeters in diameter?separating the middle ear from the inner ear. Once at the membrane the device (essentially a polymer capsule, although Draper is not developing any of medicines that might be placed inside) would release a drug into the cochlea, the tubular organ residing in the inner ear that enables us to hear. The plan is to embed wireless communications into the capsule so that a patient or doctor can control the dosage. After the capsule finishes delivering its supply of drugs, it would dissolve.

Although Draper's project is still in the very early stages and years away from any clinical testing, it holds more promise than many of today's most common approaches to tinnitus treatment, which include deep breathing, using background noise to drown out the ringing or simply learning to ignore the bothersome sound. Steroids injected into the eardrum have shown some promise in helping patients with certain hearing and balance disorders, but the ear begins eliminating these drugs through the eustachian tube (a passageway in the middle ear that acts as a pressure equalizer) as soon as the patient talks, swallows or even sits up. As a result, the patient must endure several injections into their ear and remain immobilized for a time after each injection to get any relief from the malady.

"By and large there aren't that many good ways to treat tinnitus," says Lloyd Minor, provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Johns Hopkins University. Draper's work "is potentially a novel way of delivering drugs to treat tinnitus. In general, we don't have the types of drug-delivery systems that we would like to get medication into the inner ear."

NeuroSystec Corp. is developing a neuro-active agent designed to calm the hyperactive nerves responsible for cochlear tinnitus. The Valencia, Calif., biotech start-up has licensed an osmotic pump from Durect Corp. in Cupertino, Calif., a company working on a number of drug delivery mechanisms for various parts of the body, including the inner ear.

Other advanced approaches of addressing tinnitus have been in the works for years, but most are still not ready for the market. Otonomy, Inc., in San Diego is testing a sustained release dexamethasone (a type of steroid) gel that would be injected into the middle ear, where it would stay in place, dissolving slowly and delivering treatments for hearing and balance disorders. MicroTransponder, a medical device company spun out from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2007, is looking to broaden the use of its implanted wired neuro-stimulation system for treating epilepsy to likewise help tinnitus patients.

The neuro-stimulation approach shows greater promise than those based on delivering medication to the inner ear at this time, says Michael McKenna, an otologist and neurologist at Massachusetts Eye and Ear in Boston. Targeted drug therapy is of questionable benefit because tinnitus comes from a variety of causes?including age-related hearing loss, traumatic ear injuries or circulatory system disorders?and has varying degrees of severity, he adds.

Perhaps some combination of all these efforts will end up delivering the relief that tinnitus sufferers seek. "Nothing really has been a panacea, so there is the need for further technological development," Minor says. If Draper's technology "works in the way they're hoping it will work, it will potentially be a big advance for the field."

New Alzheimer's pill more likely to cause misery, medical experts say

Watching Alzheimer's disease?steal away the memory, talents and very selves of its victims is hard enough for the people who love them. Now, a new pill formulated by a respected pharmaceutical company and approved by the Food and Drug Administration will do little to help most patients and will bring misery to some, say two medical investigators.

The drug, Aricept 23 mg, is no more effective on the whole than the disappointing ones already on the market ? but is more likely to cause gastrointestinal problems, wrote Drs. Steven Woloshin and Lisa Schwartz of Dartmouth Medical College in an article published Thursday in the medical journal BMJ.

The new formulation was devised to serve commercial objectives, they say, and was approved despite a poor showing in company-sponsored tests.

Woloshin and Schwartz described Aricept 23's march to market in 2010 as "perplexing" and "depressing" and wrote that "there is no excuse for manipulating vulnerable patients, desperate family members and their doctors to use a product that is most likely to cause net harm."

Dr. Marcia Angell, former editor of the New England Journal of Medicine and author of "The Truth About the Drug Companies," said the critique was important. "It illustrates very well how drug companies exaggerate the benefits of their drugs, minimize the side effects, and through misleading marketing to both doctors and the public convince them that a new version of a drug, with a new patent, is better than the old one, whose patent has expired," Angell told The Times.

In 2010, the FDA and the pharmaceutical giant Eisai handed caregivers of those with Alzheimer's a new option for treating their loved ones ? a 23-milligram dose of the long-available Alzheimer's drug donepezil, better known by its commercial name, Aricept.

Aricept 23 was aggressively marketed (Eisai's marketing partner in the U.S. is Pfizer Inc.) in magazine advertisements in a campaign that touted clinical benefits and plucked at caregivers' heartstrings.

But Schwartz and Woloshin say that the new option was a commercial plan to extend a brand-name medication's profit-making life by three years.

The practice, a common response to a drug company's imminent loss of patent rights on a product, is known as "evergreening." Aricept's patent rights were due to expire in November 2010, and generic drug manufacturers in short order were sure to market donepezil much more cheaply.

Pharmaceutical companies routinely look for ways ? all perfectly legal ? to extend the profit-making life of their product: They make a slight change to a drug's formula or dosage, or they combine it with another drug. With FDA approval, the new product is granted three years of legal protection from generic competition.

In the case of Aricept, developing a 23-milligram tablet created a dose that couldn't be reproduced by any combination of Aricept's existing 5- and 10-milligram pills, making the product new enough to win a three-year reprieve from low-cost competitors.

But Woloshin and Schwartz noted that Eisai's research showed that the pill offered a greater risk of side effects such as nausea and vomiting with no proof of benefit that a caregiver would be likely to notice.

FDA officials should not have allowed it, the authors said, because the clinical studies Eisai offered in support of its application did not meet standards the agency itself had laid out.

In a trial involving 1,400 patients with moderate to severe Alzheimer's, the 23-milligram dose of Aricept resulted in a small but statistically significant improvement in an index of overall cognition. But on a second measure, of "global functioning" ? changes in behavior that a caregiver or physician is likely to notice ? it failed to yield the improvements that the FDA had set as a condition of approval.

At the same time, subjects taking the 23-milligram dose, when compared with those taking 10 milligrams, reported significantly more nausea and vomiting ? described by the director of the FDA's neurological drug division as "not trivial." In patients with dementia, nausea and vomiting can lead to pneumonia and death.

Dr. Lon Schneider, a USC Alzheimer's disease expert, said there had been widespread interest in whether a 23-milligram dose might help the minority of Alzheimer's patients taking two 10-milligram pills daily. Physicians, he said, hoped that one higher-dose pill would not only improve patients' dementia symptoms, but also release more slowly into the bloodstream, causing less stomach upset.

"It's fair to say the results of these studies were not positive and were not what we were all expecting," Schneider said.

Nonetheless, the FDA concluded that the 23-milligram dose of Aricept would "very likely" improve a patient's overall functioning.

Marcia Diljak, a spokeswoman for Eisai, declined to comment on the BMJ article but noted that the FDA approved Aricept 23 mg for patients with moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease on June 23, 2010.

Rodney L. Taylor, Ph.D.: Sustainability, Wendell Berry and Confucius

Wendell Berry, one of the original proponents of the principle of sustainability and a major social critic of 20th and now 21st century American society, has made surprisingly repeated references to Confucius and Confucian writings in his works. I say "surprisingly" because Berry, at first glance, might not seem like someone who would find a complement to his own ideas on American culture and community as well as his Christian faith in a source seemingly so far removed as the writings of the Confucian tradition.

Berry, author of more than 50 books crisscrossing genres of essay, poetry and novel, has presented a penetrating analysis of the malaise of American society. His seminal work, The Unsettling of America: Culture & Agriculture (1977), argues for the restoration of community and culture to the values of a life where sustainability is grounded in moral values for the way in which we treat ourselves and others as well as the land itself.

Berry speaks forcefully and eloquently to the loss of our sustainability in our loss to the pressures of a commercial world whose only product is not "progress," but the material aggrandizement centered upon the generation of "me."

He speaks passionately of those elements of our society that have gone the way of corporate America -- family values, community values, societal values, and agrarian values -- all gone in the name of the mighty dollar.

Behind these observations lies the thoughts of a man who has farmed in the hills of Kentucky for multiple decades and who is profoundly religious in his Christian faith, a faith he sees as potentially instrumental in returning humankind to their roots of a true moral community.

As Berry seeks analogs of a model for moral community, he finds Confucius. And what would Confucius say?

Lets look at the ways in which Berry finds Confucius and Confucian teachings a model for the very kind of community Berry sees as quintessential to the rectification of American society.

In his essay "The Way of Ignorance" in the book of the same name (2005), Berry cites example after example of what he refers to as the profound and arrogant ignorance of humankind as we stumble forward toward our own destruction and the ruination of the world in which we live. He talks of the necessity of a change in the human spirit, a change in outlook, a change that will bring humanity to realize the vanity of its ways.

Such a change, what he calls a "change of heart," is part, he believes, of the quintessential core of every religion. Granted that it is seminal to all religious traditions, Berry says he finds particularly insightful the way in which the call for change is spoken to in Confucian teachings.

The particular Confucian teaching that is primarily the object of his focus is a short text, Ta-hs?eh, Great Learning or in the translation of Ezra Pound used by Berry, The Great Digest. It has been one of the most important of Confucian writings throughout East Asia for the last 2000 years. Combined with three other texts, Confucian Analects, Mencius and Doctrine of the Mean, it was a critical part of what became known as the Four Books, the collection that was the primary basis for all Confucian education up to the 20th century throughout the Confucian world.

What is the teaching of the Great Learning? It is a model of the path of learning to become a person of goodness and humaneness, taking the individual from self-learning to learning in the world through rectification of self, family, society and the world at large. This is a learning that begins with the thorough learning and discipline of the self.

Just as Confucius had said that the Noble Person, ch?n tzu, takes responsibility for himself while the petty person always blames others (Analects XV:20), the Great Learning is rooted in the importance of the transformation of the individual first and foremost. Such a change in the individual is the apriori condition to any change or transformation that can be anticipated in society or the world at large.

And what is the nature of this change in the individual? It is the learning of goodness and humaneness, jen, exemplified by the model of the Noble Person, ch?n tzu, a figure committed to learning for the transformation of the self in order to lead in the transformation of the world.

The Great Learning offers a learning that focuses upon the "change of heart" Berry sees as so crucial to our own time and condition, a way in which there can be a rectification toward goodness of self and society and thus the sustainability of our world.

Such learning is the antidote for Berry to what he sees as the arrogance, the greed, and the selfishness that constitutes the dominant cultural paradigm of our own time -- individual, society and world out of control with their own self-absorption. Sustainability, on the other hand, demands a moral commitment to self and society alike. It can be said in no clearer way then when Berry quotes the Great Learning in The Unsettling of America: Culture & Agriculture, "... wanting good government in their states, they first established order in their own families; wanting order in the home, they first disciplined themselves...."

From ancient China to the contemporary hill farms of Kentucky -- a universal message in response to a universal problem.

Swimming Pool Safety This Summer | KUSIQUYLLUR Home ...

273120579 abb3889055 m Swimming Pool Safety This Summer

Who doesn?t love to splash around in the pool on a bright sunny day? Who doesn?t love to cool down and relax by the swimming pool? Since the beginning of time, water has been everyone?s best friend, not only because it is undeniably an essential element for survival, but also because it is a source of happiness and recreation as well.

Drowning Accidents

However, this universal element, when taken advantage of irresponsibly, may be a grim enemy to many. In fact, a great percent of fatalities through time have been caused by accidents involving bodies of water ? drowning accidents among them. Drowning accidents have taken an alarming number of lives and have caused countless injuries since the beginning of time. In statistical research, more that 1,000 children drown each year with 65 percent occurring in swimming pools ? at home, apartment complexes, or a public facility.

Children aged 1 to 4 years old may be the most vulnerable to the risks of drowning in residential or public swimming pools since they generally have not acquired the skill of swimming, are small in size, and are often times very physically active and curious. Among the leading causes of these incidents is unsupervised access to the water.

The Solution

You may, after all, breathe a sigh of relief as you get a relaxing massage, sip your fruit smoothie, or work on your tan by the swimming pool. The answer to your worries is right at your doorstep. With a Pool Protector installed, you can now minimize the risks of drowning accidents. It is not only designed to watch after your kids, but it keeps your valued pets safe from drowning accidents as well. It is basically an electronic monitoring system that works wonders.

It is a state-of-the-art sensor that detects children and even pets falling into an unsupervised swimming pool. It automatically gives off alarm sounds when children or pets fall or get in the water. The best thing about this Pool Protector is that it is portable, self-contained, lightweight, and very easy to operate. Safety doesn?t have be complex.

How does the Pool Protector Work?

The Pool Protector has an electronic sensor. When an entry into your unsupervised pool is detected, the sensor triggers a loud pulsating sound, which will be heard from the unit and inside your house ? since it comes with a remote receiver. The Pool Protector will be installed on the pool deck. To ensure its constant life watch, it cannot be inactivated after you get it installed. Unless you put it in a sleep mode, it stays in the alarm ready mode to continue keeping you worry-free and relaxed. You would know if the alarm mode has been triggered because it will sound an alarm. The remote receiver can be mounted in your home up to 200 feet from the main unit. When using the Pool Protector, you only have to make sure that your electrical system operates compatibly with a twelve-volt power supply. Another bonus it that its nine-volt battery has long lifespan, lasting for approximately one year. One of the best places I have found to buy this unit is http://www.freedomsecurityproducts.com.

South Africa in control of New Zealand Test

New Zealand's batting woes against South Africa continued as they slumped to 65 for four at stumps on day two of the second Test in Hamilton, squandering a fine effort with the ball.

The Black Caps, bowled out for 185 on the opening day, looked to have clawed their way back into contention when a five-wicket haul from Mark Gillespie helped restrict the Proteas' first innings lead to 68.

But New Zealand made a disastrous start to the second innings, reduced to seven for three in the first five overs as openers Rob Nicol (1) and Martin Guptill (1) failed again and Brendon McCullum went for five.

Skipper Ross Taylor was again called on to launch a rescue mission managing a 57-run partnership with Kane Williamson before falling lbw to Dale Steyn for 17 in the second last over of the day.

Steyn took two for 10 and Vernon Philander two for 21 as New Zealand ended the day still three runs short of South Africa's first innings total of 253, facing a mammoth task to get back into the match.

Kane Williamson was unbeaten on 41 for the Black Caps, alongside Daniel Vettori, who was yet to score.

South Africa started the day at 27 for two and endured a torrid spell from Gillespie, struggling at 133 for six in the first hour before AB de Villiers and the lower order steadied the innings.

De Villiers' gritty 83 and a valuable unbeaten 35-run cameo from Morne Morkel helped South Africa overhaul New Zealand's total before the tourists were bowled out for 253 at tea.

Gillespie, recalled into a revamped New Zealand attack after more than three years in the Test wilderness, finished the innings with five for 59.

South Africa added 35 to their overnight total before he dismissed Hashim Amla for 16, the batsman attempting to guide the ball through backward point but sending a low catch to Williamson.

He struck again in his next over to claim the prized scalp of Jacques Kallis, who scored a century in the first Test.

Kallis never looked comfortable against Gillespie and was lucky to top-edge a short-pitched ball safely over the boundary for six.

He dabbed tentatively down the leg side two balls later, doing just enough for the face of the bat to kiss the ball and travel to Kruger van Wyk behind the stumps.

Gillespie made it three when he trapped Alviro Petersen (29) lbw with a ball that hit the batsman low in the pads, a television review umpire upholding the original decision the delivery was plumb and headed for middle stump.

The collapse continued with Gillespie's fourth wicket in four overs when Jacques Rudolph, another century-maker in the first Test, clipped an edge to van Wyk, out for one after facing only four balls.

New Zealand maintained the pressure with some tight bowling after lunch and were rewarded when Gillespie took his fifth with a full, straight ball that slipped through the guard of Mark Boucher (24) and into the stumps.

De Villiers, South Africa's last recognised batsman, brought up his 28th Test 50 and worked well with the tail-enders, notching up a 34-run partnership with Vernon Philander (14).

He was unlucky to be dismissed on 83, blocking a fizzing Vettori delivery that bounced back from the pitch and into the stumps

A free-hitting Morkel kept the scoreboard ticking, notching five fours and one six before New Zealand wrapped up the innings.

Samsung researching Android-based digital camera

Android on a mainstream digital camera? Yes, you will live to see the day. We're at Samsung's Korean headquarters this week, where we had an opportunity to sit down with the company's research and development team to talk about the past, present and future of digital imaging. Much of those discussions were off the record, but we have secured permission to touch on one detail that we found quite fascinating: an "open" camera operating system. One rep offered up that "we are considering Android-based because our smartphone is Android-based," which means that the OS could (and likely will) be Android. The company shied from flat-out confirming that an Android-based camera would be hitting the market later this year, but they did hint at such. What we know is that Samsung R&D has been researching bringing Android to its digital cameras -- a move that would be far from shocking, considering that development teams do tend to collaborate, and the company clearly has experience with the Google OS. And while there are likely to be such "open OS" prototypes buried deep within Sammy HQ, they're mere experiments at this point -- at least from a production perspective.

What exactly would an OS like Android mean for digital camera users? It could be a major breakthrough from a usability standpoint, opening up the in-camera ecosystem to third-party developers. We could see Twitter and Facebook apps that let you not only publish your photos directly with a familiar interface, but also see photos shared by your friends. A capacitive touchscreen would let you type in comments directly as well. You could publish to web-based services, utilize apps that enable post-capture creativity or receive firmware updates directly over WiFi. That hotshoe or USB port could accommodate a variety of different accessories, like a microphone or 4G modem that could be used with several models, including those from other manufacturers. While there's nothing making Android integration impossible from a technical standpoint, there are obvious disadvantages as well -- especially for camera makers. Stability would become an issue -- your camera could need a reboot just as often as your smartphone -- and such a powerful imaging device could theoretically cannibalize tablets and smartphones, though on a limited scale. Sadly this is merely educated speculation at this point, pending a product announcement from Samsung, though we wouldn't be surprised to come to fruition -- perhaps even before the next CES.

Time Change Catches Church Goers Off-Guard

PEORIA- For some people, waking up for church is hard enough.

It's even more difficult when time springs forward...

"It did feel a little earlier," said nine-year-old Brandon Kemp. Kemp said he needed extra help to wake up this morning.

Kemp is one of the many church goers that attend Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria.

David Strickler is the church facilities manager.

"The clocks that run all the lights and the equipment all does it automatically. So that's a good thing. It's a really good thing," Strickler said.

He sees everyone who walks through the church doors. He says more people than usual were running late Sunday.

"And they said, 'oh is the church started already?' I said, 'oh yea. You're just about to the end," Strickland said recalling an earlier conversation. "And I said, yea. Did you forget your clocks? 'Yes, we did."

11-year-old Ben Learned is an usher at the church. He was worried he'd be late.

"Yea, I hadn't changed my clock. I was like, wow, we are really early to church. Wait, no we're not," he said. ???

?Not everyone forgot to set their clocks. Some, like Pam Kuntz, say there are certain things you just can't control. Kuntz set her clocks correctly, but that didn't matter much for her new born son.

"I have a two month old son, and he was up ready to eat when we aren't ready to be up feeding him yet. So we're also running a little bit behind getting here," she said. ?

Even choir members noticed they were singing to a smaller congregation.

"They're late but they got here. For those churchers that are usually on time, were late," said choir member Ann Meghrian, who says she had her own problems getting up this morning. ?

Staff members at the church say they weren't worried about Sunday. They says it's usually worse when clocks are set back an hour.

Regardless, some say it's okay. They don't think God will hold it against them.?
